I’m pleased and honored to be part of these September shows and events at the Hyde Park Art Center and EXPO Chicago

I am honored to be part of the 2015 Center Program final exhibition with a two-story light installation, Seeing Events, and a presentation from a favorite research colleague.

Join me inside my Front & Center installation as I present its metaphysical aspect

Sunday, September 13 1:00-4:00 pm, before and first hour of Opening Reception

“Receive insight and empowerment in a personal Crystal Seeing with artist Dana Major. Out of a multigenerational Kentucky family history, Dana Sees the Inner Light using crystals, a practice known as a scrying, and offers guests over the age of 14 a free 3-10 minute affirmative personal message.”

The Art and Science of Seeing

Join me in welcoming research colleague Dr. Robert Bonham Simmons who will amaze us about sight, lenses, and understanding.

Saturday, September 26, 2:00 – 3:00 pm

“What is Seeing?  What can we know about ourselves and our world from the ways we see? Be surprised at your own vision! Dr. Robert Bonham Simmons is director of the microscopy lab at Georgia State University, on the editorial board of Microscopy Today magazine, and a museum-exhibiting glass artist.  He and his wife, Camille, travel the world for science and art, including a recent Murano, Italy residency.  Simmons and artist Dana Major maintain a 10+ year research correspondence, and invite participants to an exciting program about the limits and surprises of seeing, for all audiences.”
