Train Tagging 1

Saturday night August 23rd 2008, I went freight train writing with a seasoned master 2 1/2 hours south of Helena, near Dillon, MT.  We began at 10 p.m. and painted with spray paint for 2 1/2 hours. Twice we had to take down the ladders and duck in the grass. The sheer size of the 13’ 3” talc transport car we chose was astounding, not to mention the challenge of the convex belly of the car.  Note how big it is by finding me at the bottom left of my piece in thenight shot.  (hard to spot!)  I had planned my piece, “Bye-Bye, Birdy,” for several weeks.    Once I was up on the ladder time disappeared.  Daytime shots were taken the next day.   See signature and title in the lower right of the piece.
