I spent the week installing at the gorgeous Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston, IL. Sharing pics and notes on the installation!
Several weeks ago, before fabrication, I spied the installation in this cobweb
and in the scatter-order that approaches organic in these man-made building materials
and in 3 sheets of partially prepared mesh on my studio floor
I loaded the magical minivan and drove from my Southside studio to the Northside Noyes
the busy hallway vestibule links The Piven Theatre Workshop, and Next Theaters, the Evanston Children’s Choir, Art Encounter, the Fleetwood-Joudain Theater, and the famous circus theater, The Actor’s Gymnasium
I got to work
weaving, and even learned to love the florescent ballasts
3 days later the sculpture….
